Excerpt:

“Girl, I can’t believe he did that shit!”
Sabrina was now on the phone with her friend, Rachel. This day was one of the worst days of her life. She couldn’t believe she had gotten fired and the behavior of Mr. Torrance. He was using his personal feelings to try and justify this decision. The thing that pissed her off the most was that Veronica had set out to ruin her.
“Yeah, I can’t believe it either. Especially Veronica. The bitch had me on tape! I couldn’t say shit to defend myself!”
“So Sabrina, what are you gonna do?”
“Find another job; what else?”
“I mean, do you have enough in your savings to cover the rent? I know the place you are in now is hella expensive.”
“I got enough back in my savings for another four months or so, but after that, I’m going to have to find a new place to live.”
“Well love, you can always move here.”
She and Rachel had talked about this before. Sabrina knew that Rachel had feelings that went beyond friendship. As much as she loved Rachel as a friend, she didn’t have feelings for Rachel that extended past that point. This was why she would usually reject Rachel’s offers for help.
However, her back was up against the wall.
She knew it wouldn’t take long before word got back to her father, if it hadn’t already. Her father would not be pleased, since he pulled some major strings for her to work at Joynt Enterprises. It would hurt her greatly if her father’s business got negatively impacted due to her fallout with Mr. Torrance. She didn’t know if she’d be able to face him or if she could live with her father, given the circumstances.

"FREE vs NOT FREE" THAT is the question.

Well...

I've been sitting here wondering...

Do authors really WANT to pay for services that they can get for FREE or at discounted pricing?

You're probably wondering why I bring up this question. Let me assure you that it's for a very good reason.
I suppose that I should maybe start with a little bit of back-story.
Yeah... methinks, I shall.

In a land far, far away called Florida, USA there lived a lowly and lonesome Indie Author whom had just published her first book--Inkwell was her name.
Inkwell felt all alone in a the vast internet universe. She felt lost and confused. "How will I ever get the world to notice my book when everything calls for money which I don't have? I wrote a book to make money, not spend it." she said to herself feeling as though the world was against her.
The more she researched, the more she noticed that (1) it seemed as if the Indie world was in a perpetual competition against each other. (2) everything called for money--lots of it. And (3) there was a huge need for a support system for those whom did not have the money or means. There was a big necessity for a place where authors such as herself could go.
Subsequently, Inkwell thought to herself "Well, if it doesn't exist, then I'll just make it." and so she ventured on the adventure of her life. She created that which she so desired. She made a support system for authors who really needed the help.
Yet it seemed that whilst she offered service after service of supportive programs FOR FREE to the writing public, authors with whom she'd connected would totally bypassed what she was offering and opted to go with the paying services. This made no sense to her. She was flabbergasted. "Does FREE equal low quality? Do people equate free with not good?" she thought. "That doesn't make any sense." she said aloud to herself, slapping her forehead with bewilderment.
In the end Inkwell found herself torn between two predicaments. (1) Maybe she should charge for what she's offering. Perhaps then authors will consider her programs. (2) Maybe she should shut it down altogether. If it's not being utilized, then why even offer it.

I am Inkwell.

I cannot, for the life of me, understand why authors opt to go with services for which they have to pay, when said services offer EXACTLY what All Authors does. Only, many times over, All Authors does it better.

Just today, I noticed someone marketing their blog on Facebook. Their post read... Well, actually, maybe I should just share the image that they shared on Facebook so that you can see it for yourself.

Now, I'm not saying that this person is wrong. I mean if she's putting in the work, then so be it. Let her charge. However, All Authors does exactly the same thing--reaches a vast amount of readers and writers, networks with several different Social Media sites and people connected therein, YET WE DO NOT CHARGE!
We could if we really wanted to, but realizing that there is a gap in the market and many authors need support, we don't. Now, should I? Do you all REALLY want me to charge for giving you exactly what this person and others like him/her does? Because, if you want to, then I will. Lord know I can use the money!

Here is another example of a place for author promotional service referrals, called Book Marketing and Book Promotions. There you will find out about all sort of promotional services, however most of them you would have to pay for, and the pricing is ridiculous.

Everything costs money...

I found yet another site that also does Author Promotions. Take a look at THESE prices. Once again, things that All Authors does for FREE or at discounted prices.

Cover Reveal ~ Next of Kin: Blood is Thicker Than Water by Aray Brown

Esteemed RWPPs,

Author Aray Brown

Today we'd like to present you with a special event. We'd like to welcome Author and Poet Aray Brown with the Cover Reveal of her debut novella titled Next of Kin: Blood is Thicker Than Water, soon to be available to your favorite online book retailer.

A little bit about the Author:

Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, Aray Brown emerged as a bright eyed scribe at an early age, which began her journey to self discovery.

Her short stories consisted of characters such as She-ra and He-man. Later on she decided to delve into something more real and personal.

She always had a passion for storytelling even though she couldn’t express it verbally.

After dabbling in other areas, she found her true calling and vowed to share her gift with the rest of the world.

Just like every other kid he grew up on Stephen King and Alfred Hithcock, she became obsessed with horror. Most importantly gore.

While she has different genres in mind for her next up and coming projects, her love of gruesome tales will always be eternal.

Aray tells us a little bit about the cover idea:

The original cover just came to me when I was knee deep in the story. I wanted it to be more gruesome looking (a thick trail of black blood, leading up to a woman’s corpse and the K carved in her) lol but I’m not knocking this cover at all. Less is more.

The story however, was originally a script I was working on before I even started converting it. I remember thinking “this should be a book” That was back when I was a little confused on which path I should take (screenwriting or novel writing), I just went with my gut and haven’t regretted since.

Here is the Blurb of Next of Kin: Blood is Thicker Than Water by Aray Brown:

Medina Price always wanted to be a cop, just like her successors, until she gets thrown into a corrupt life at an early age due to witnessing her mother being slaughtered at the hands of a hired gunman. Now that she's been seduced by darkness, she vows to get revenge, but she gets more than she bargained for. What will Medina do? At this juncture in her life Medina realizes that... Everyone is capable of something.

And now... Without further ado, we present to you the Cover of Next of Kin: Blood is Thicker Than Water by Aray Brown, which was created by our very own All Authors Graphic Design.

Cover Art Needed?

Do you need cover art, a banner, or graphics for your website?
Are you not tech savvy?
Are other graphic designers charging ridiculous prices for images they've used time and time again?

All Authors Publications and Promotions understands the struggles authors confront so we makes things easy and inexpensive!

There are so many challenges with being an author--especially if you're Indie--many more than most people tend to think about. Only you know what's going on behind the scenes. You face struggles such as:

* Low or no funds, and when you do find an affordable graphic designer, often times they offer underwhelming work or images that they've utilized several times, giving you recycled art.

* The pre-made or stock pictures offered on many photo purchasing sites are either too drab or too generic.

* Most high-end graphic designers want to charge an arm and a leg, which you simply do not have to offer. After all, one of the reasons you've written a book is to make money, not give it.

All Authors provides hassle free and understanding customer service. We hear you out, try to see your vision and then work vigorously to make it happen, ALL at a very low price.

* Banners range from $5 - $15 (USD)

* Front covers range from $15 - $35 (USD)

* Front and back cover combos range from $25 - $45 (USD)

Note:

You will be expected to provide your own blurb to insert into the back cover unless otherwise requested. We do offer blurb writing services at a very reasonable price also.
