Author Spotlight
K.D. Emerson

Are all authors shy? Or do they just use so many words while they are writing that it doesn’t leave any left to “toot their own horn?” When asked to talk about her novel Digitus 233 K.D. Emerson kind of stubs her toe in the dirt and relies on what her readers have to say. She says “it’s a more honest view because sometimes you just can’t see the dirt on your own kid.”
So we turned to the reviews and this is what we found:
From InGenre.com and Sarah Wallace, author of several popular young adult novels:
K.D. Emerson leads readers through a myriad of twists and turns. Mysterious circumstances intrigue us as, along with Zeph, we try to figure out what is going on before it's too late. Meanwhile, we cheer, shiver and cry for Zander and his team as their survival skills are put to the test. Behind it all, corporate corruption thrives.
But Emerson doesn't stop there…Digitus 233 is an action packed novel that will thrill YA readers while causing them to think about the current state of the world. I highly recommend this book to people nine to ninety who are looking for adventure.
From Dominique Goodall, author of the fantasy novel Echoes of Winter
Wow! Well...what can I say? This knocked The Hunger Games right out of the running for me (and that's one of my favorites!)
From Jan Verhoeff, author and internet marketer:
I'm not about to spoil the surprise ending... But, hang on to that chair.
When asked, “why did you write this novel?” Emerson explains, “This is more than a book series to me; it's a wakeup call to the world. Will we allow ourselves to go blindly into slavery or will we stand up and fight for freedom and our basic human rights before it's too late? I love writing thought-provoking and action-filled stories that will bring readers back for more. Although Digitus deals with the evils of the world, I throw in a healthy dose of laughter and fun along the way. After all, laughter is key to our survival.”
